Pulling a little bit from life, here. I grew up a military brat and since my father held a high security clearance (one of the non-glamorous departments of Military Intel), Operational Security, or OPSEC, was drilled into my head from an early age. When I got to gaming and dating age (yes, at about the same time)…
Well, I do love a man in uniform… and is it my fault many of them happened to work with my dad?
So while I rarely had secrets I couldn’t talk about, I often felt the tensions of my friends who -did-, in addition to my father.
On an only slightly related note, the single time my father -did- break security silence and told my mother something… he discovered he’d been upstaged by CNN.
Go figure.
Thanks for reading,
Mitz
