I wonder what he meant by “bad history”….

We’ll just have to wait for the full story on that.

The boring background on it is that I wanted a reasonable explanation why some of my aliens… don’t seem terribly “alien”.   This is a hint to some of the ideas I came up with.  And a brief nod to Cordwainer Smith.
