Just call me the White Rabbit…

The Modernism Show is done. The liniment has been applied heavily, and most of the aches are under control. Things should get back to normal for about two weeks… when NanDesuKan starts. I’ll be on a late night panel there (Webcomics, Friend or Foe?) and sharing space in the Artist’s Alley. Lots of fun to be had. If you’re in the Denver area that weekend, stop by.

Yes, Friday, if barely. I forgot how exhausting setting up a show that big is. Incidentally, if anyone is in the Denver area, and interested in the Modernism Era (’50s and ’60s), be sure to get out to the show. Dana did a fantastic job putting it together this year.

Thank you, everyone, for your support. Anubis, Colorado is a “right to work” state, which makes fighting a dismissal difficult at best. We just make the best of what we can.

And on the clay side, I have two semi-chibi versions of Nyx just about ready to go in the oven… I’ll toss the pics in the forum if anyone’s interested. Me… not so sure about them yet.

Mitz

Still running late, but improving slowly.

I should probably explain the oddity that was my last statement. Last Tuesday, my husband went into work as usual… and was fired just before lunch. No warning. And oddly, two weeks after being given a raise. Speculation has it that corporate politics were involved… something neither of us are good at.

So the last week has been an odd sort of grieving. Invest enough time in anything, and losing it causes grief, especially a job one enjoys.

Now the week is over, even if the ache is still there, and it’s time to get moving. New job opportunities are being applied for. The good news is, call center work is usually always hiring. The trick is being hired at the right level of pay. In the meantime, there’s the show this week, which if I calculated correctly, should carry us over until unemployment kicks in, which hopefully hopefully won’t be needed for long.

Keep your fingers crossed for us? =smile=

Mitz

Back to the rabbit hole. Late and late.

Chaos on the real world side, continues, having gotten much worse. Will try to work ahead during the next three days, as the Modernism show is next week, and I be running like crazy. Last year, money from setting up the show bought me my laptop. This year… two weeks of survival.

Yep, it’s been -that- crazy here.
