Not intended in my planning, but perhaps fitting that Viara’s opening words should come out on Memorial Day.

To my husband, my father, my cousin, both grandfathers, paternal grandmother, and the rest of the long line of military service in my family lines, thank you for serving, even when it was neither comfortable or easy.

Thank you to those readers with military service as well… I know of at least one, with a few dependents scattered in there as well.

And to everyone, thanks for reading,
Mitz

Well, it took a week, but I’m finally back on my feet. Well, for short bits.

But the good thing is, I’ve had plenty of time to plot out more pages… =g=

There are things to be said about being laid up and forced off my feet by a fan of fibrous tissue that makes up less than 1% of my body mass.

Thankfully for everyone here, it’s not not fit for publication.

Plantar Fasciitis, kiss my a$$.

Thanks for reading,

Pulling a little bit from life, here. I grew up a military brat and since my father held a high security clearance (one of the non-glamorous departments of Military Intel), Operational Security, or OPSEC, was drilled into my head from an early age. When I got to gaming and dating age (yes, at about the same time)…

Well, I do love a man in uniform… and is it my fault many of them happened to work with my dad?

So while I rarely had secrets I couldn’t talk about, I often felt the tensions of my friends who -did-, in addition to my father.

On an only slightly related note, the single time my father -did- break security silence and told my mother something… he discovered he’d been upstaged by CNN.

Go figure.

Thanks for reading,
Mitz
